This page compares the nine bodies a birth date alone can place, Sun through Pluto, and lists the Chiron and lunar node contacts alongside them. The Moon is drawn as the span it could have moved through and is scored in nothing here; the ascendant axis and the house ring are left out by design, not by omission, so nothing on this page is scored against a birth time it cannot trust.
The overlap
Where the two charts touch
Cher’s Jupiter and Sonny Bono’s Venus are 0.55 degrees from an exact quincunx.
Both birth times are exact, so the Moon joins Sun through Pluto on both axes, and every contact also carries the house it falls in on the other person’s chart. The ascendant axis and the house ring are drawn.

21 of the 28 contacts fall between Sun and Pluto, and all 21 are in the grid. A boxed cell is within one degree. The other 7 contacts involve Chiron and the lunar nodes and are listed below, 0 of them in the tight layer.
A cell is a plain glyph. The aspect it names is a Codex Link in the sentences above.
Cher inner ring, Sonny Bono outer ring, with the contacts inside one degree drawn. 1 of them are between Sun and Pluto; the rest involve bodies that are not on either ring.

Trines and sextiles are soft, squares, oppositions and quincunxes hard. A conjunction depends on which two bodies meet, so it carries no tone here.
Why they click
Three Venus trines carry the warmth here: Venus to Sun, Venus to Mercury and Venus to Mars, all inside two degrees. One person's capacity for affection reaches the other's identity, thinking and drive at the easiest angle the engine measures. That is an unusually even spread. Where many pairings have one warm contact, this one has affection touching three separate parts of the other chart, which reads as a bond that is comfortable across several registers at once.
Why they clash
Identity is the top category, and it is built on Sun square Sun at 1.49 degrees. A square between two Suns is the angle of two people who cannot ignore each other and cannot easily merge either. Sun square Mercury repeats it at just over a degree. Communication, friction and values all sit at the floor, so almost nothing outside those Venus trines and the Sun tension is registering. The picture is a strong personal charge with little shared ground underneath it.
What each system says
Twelve systems, two people
This is what comparing two charts system by system looks like: the same birth data on both sides, read against each other one system at a time.
The Suns are 91.5° apart, close enough to feed the identity category above.
A second tradition
Guna Milan (Ashtakoot)
Guna Milan is the compatibility method used in Vedic matchmaking, traditionally consulted before an arranged marriage. It scores eight factors between two Moon placements on a 36-point scale, shown here as what this one tradition reads: not a verdict, and not averaged with the Western reading above, which may disagree.
The reading
17.5 of 36
Two things stated plainly rather than left silent: Varna and Vashya use a directional rule from traditional bride/groom roles, applied here in the order the two people are listed on this page rather than assigning either role. Bhakoot dosha's most common cancellation, matching rashi lords, is applied; Nadi dosha carries no cancellation here, though same-nakshatra-different-pada is sometimes cited elsewhere as easing it. Mangal (Kuja) dosha is a separate check and isn't part of this reading.
