This page compares the nine bodies a birth date alone can place, Sun through Pluto, and lists the Chiron and lunar node contacts alongside them. The Moon is drawn as the span it could have moved through and is scored in nothing here; the ascendant axis and the house ring are left out by design, not by omission, so nothing on this page is scored against a birth time it cannot trust.
The overlap
Where the two charts touch
Stevie Nicks’s Venus and Lindsey Buckingham’s Sun are 0.22 degrees from an exact square.
Both birth times are exact, so the Moon joins Sun through Pluto on both axes, and every contact also carries the house it falls in on the other person’s chart. The ascendant axis and the house ring are drawn.

23 of the 37 contacts fall between Sun and Pluto, and all 23 are in the grid. A boxed cell is within one degree. The other 14 contacts involve Chiron and the lunar nodes and are listed below, 4 of them in the tight layer.
A cell is a plain glyph. The aspect it names is a Codex Link in the sentences above.
Stevie Nicks inner ring, Lindsey Buckingham outer ring, with the contacts inside one degree drawn. 6 of them are between Sun and Pluto; the rest involve bodies that are not on either ring.

10 of 37The contacts closest to exact, whichever bodies they involve. 4 of these are Chiron or lunar node contacts, so they are named here and are not in the grid above. Tightest first, which is the only order that holds for every pair.

Trines and sextiles are soft, squares, oppositions and quincunxes hard. A conjunction depends on which two bodies meet, so it carries no tone here.
Why they click
Sun trines Sun, wide at 4.78 degrees but the only same-body contact the pair has. It reads as a shared basic register: similar instincts about how to occupy a room, similar pacing. Stevie's Sun also trines Lindsey's Mercury, so his way of putting things sits easily with how she sees herself. Both links are soft and both are loose. The easy part of this pairing is the part that never needed discussing.
Why they clash
Stevie's Venus squares Lindsey's Sun at 0.22 degrees and his Mercury at 0.70, two hard angles close enough to exact that they behave like fixed features rather than passing tension. What she values sits at a right angle both to who he is and to how he talks. Because there is no Venus to Venus contact and no Mars to Mars contact, nothing offsets it: the squares have no counterweight in shared taste or shared drive, and every category except identity floors at the baseline.
What each system says
Twelve systems, two people
This is what comparing two charts system by system looks like: the same birth data on both sides, read against each other one system at a time.
The Suns are 124.8° apart, close enough to feed the identity category above.
A second tradition
Guna Milan (Ashtakoot)
Guna Milan is the compatibility method used in Vedic matchmaking, traditionally consulted before an arranged marriage. It scores eight factors between two Moon placements on a 36-point scale, shown here as what this one tradition reads: not a verdict, and not averaged with the Western reading above, which may disagree.
The reading
16.5 of 36
Two things stated plainly rather than left silent: Varna and Vashya use a directional rule from traditional bride/groom roles, applied here in the order the two people are listed on this page rather than assigning either role. Bhakoot dosha's most common cancellation, matching rashi lords, is applied; Nadi dosha carries no cancellation here, though same-nakshatra-different-pada is sometimes cited elsewhere as easing it. Mangal (Kuja) dosha is a separate check and isn't part of this reading.

Frequently asked
Are Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham astrologically compatible?
Their charts make 37 cross-aspects, the tightest at 0.22° and 0.38°. Astrology does not score a relationship out of a hundred, and the number on this page counts how much contact two charts make, not how well two people do.
What does conjunction mean between two charts?
A conjunction puts two placements at nearly the same degree, so their energies blend into one signal rather than two. Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham have 10 conjunction contacts between them, more than any other type.
