Jupiter square or opposite Saturn
Optimism in tension with caution, swinging between overreach and retreat until timing is learned.
Optimism and caution pull against each other, so these people swing between a plan that is too large and a retreat that is too complete. Timing feels wrong: the opportunity arrives when the resources do not. Careers often progress in a stop-start pattern, with real advances separated by long consolidations. As a social aspect it is shared by a cohort, and houses and rulerships decide where it bites. The friction produces good judgment eventually, since a person who has both overreached and over-retreated has seen the cost of each.
