Mercury conjunct Jupiter

Jupiter enlarges Mercury, giving a mind with scope: these people see the pattern, teach naturally, and are drawn to law, publishing, languages and long-distance travel. They talk well and at length, and their optimism about an idea is often what gets other people to back it. The cost is detail. Conclusions are reached before the evidence is fully in, small print goes unread, and a talent for the big picture becomes an excuse for skipping the part of the work that is tedious. Promises made in conversation outrun what the calendar can hold.
