Mercury square or opposite Saturn
Thought under heavy resistance, self-doubting and slow, and capable of unusual depth under pressure.
Thought meets a blockage that feels permanent. These people are convinced they are slow, often on the evidence of a single early humiliation, and the conviction outlasts every later demonstration to the contrary. Speech can be halting, writing is rewritten past the point of improvement, and depression takes a mental form: a repeated argument for why the thing will not work. The aspect is also a reliable builder of depth. Under pressure it produces people who know a subject properly, because the shortcut was never available to them.
