The mind and the urge to break pattern are at odds. These people contradict on reflex, change position abruptly, and find that the nervous system pays for it with insomnia and scattered attention. Conversations get derailed by a tangent that seemed essential. Formal education usually went badly, through an inability to be told rather than any lack of ability. The useful outcome is intellectual independence with the work behind it: once the reflex is disciplined, this is the aspect of people who correctly reject a consensus. Undisciplined it is a person who is merely difficult.
