Sun square or opposite Neptune
Identity in tension with illusion, producing misreadings that eventually teach hard discernment.
Identity and illusion work against each other. These people are prone to misreading themselves, either inflating a role they cannot sustain or refusing credit they have earned, and they attract situations where the facts turn out to be other than stated. Confusion about direction can last for years. Health tends to be sensitive and hard to diagnose. What the aspect builds, slowly, is discernment: a person who has been wrong about this often enough learns to check. Charts carrying it often produce unusually honest adults, having spent decades finding out what self-deception costs.
