Semi-Square

Semi-square is a minor aspect of irritation, a 45° angle creating mild but persistent friction. Where a full square can be transformative through its force, a semi-square is just annoying: a low-level restlessness or tension that doesn't quite rise to the level of demanding action. A Mars semi-square Saturn, for instance, describes a nagging sense that action is being blocked or that effort isn't paying off as it should. These are frustrations worked through deliberately rather than breakthroughs forced by necessity.
