Sextile

Sextile is the aspect of friendly support, a 60° angle where two energies cooperate without total merger (like a conjunction) or total ease (like a trine). The planets work well together, but the gift requires some conscious engagement to activate. Where a trine is automatic talent, a sextile is latent potential waiting to be engaged. A Venus-Mercury sextile, for instance, doesn't guarantee artistic brilliance, but it describes the conditions for it, if someone takes the initiative to develop it.
