Missing Modality

A missing modality means none of the ten planets fall in a Cardinal, Fixed, or Mutable sign, whichever of the three modes of action is absent from the chart entirely. Cardinal signs initiate, Fixed signs sustain, and Mutable signs adapt; whichever of those modes is missing has to be borrowed or consciously developed rather than arriving as a built-in instinct the way it does for the modalities that are actually represented.
