Fall

Fall is the sign opposite a planet's exaltation: the Sun in Libra, the Moon in Scorpio, Mercury in Pisces, Venus in Virgo, Mars in Cancer, Jupiter in Capricorn, Saturn in Aries. The planet is out of its element and receives little support from the sign for its natural way of operating. Older texts read this as debility. In practice it marks a part of the chart where the usual approach does not come easily and something more deliberate has to be built instead. As with detriment, it describes conditions rather than character.
