Peregrine

A planet is peregrine when it holds no essential dignity in its degree: not in rulership, exaltation, detriment or fall, and in strict traditional practice not in its own triplicity, term or face either. The word means wandering, and the image is a planet with no standing of its own in the place it finds itself. Most planets in most charts are peregrine, so the term marks a normal condition rather than a problem. Such a planet is read mainly through its house, its aspects, and the planet that rules the sign it sits in.
