Element Balance

Element balance is worked out by counting placements in each element, giving extra weight to the Sun, Moon and Ascendant and less to the slow-moving outer planets. An even spread across all four is uncommon. A heavy element describes the register a person reaches for first, whether that is action, practicality, ideas or feeling. A missing or nearly missing element marks the register that has to be learned rather than assumed, and it is often the one sought out in partners and colleagues. Read the emphasis as a starting shape, then check whether the aspects support it.
