Earth

Earth is shared by Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn, and it stands for the practical, the tangible and the slow. Its concerns are work, money, the body, food, land and whatever can be used. A chart weighted in earth tends toward patience, reliability and a preference for evidence over theory, with a risk of caution hardening into stubbornness. A chart light in earth can hold strong ideas and feelings with less instinct for execution, budgets or upkeep, so structure is usually borrowed from routine or from other people. Weight the Sun, Moon and Ascendant more heavily than the outer planets.
