Uranus in the 9th house

The 9th house rules long travel, higher study, belief and law. Uranus here thinks for itself about the large questions. Beliefs are reached independently and often depart sharply from the ones these people were raised in. Travel is unplanned, study is self-directed, and the interest runs toward science, technology or reform. The cost is contrarianism dressed as independence: a position taken because it is the opposite of the accepted one, which is not the same as having examined it.
