Mercury in Capricorn

Capricorn is cardinal earth ruled by Saturn. Mercury here is organized and skeptical: these people think in structures, timelines and consequences, and they commit to a statement only once they can defend it. Dry humor is common, and so is a reputation for saying little and meaning all of it. The difficulty is pessimism, since a mind trained on what can go wrong dismisses good ideas early, and an unfamiliar approach has to prove itself before it will even be considered.
