Mercury in Virgo

Virgo is mutable earth ruled by Mercury, and Mercury is also exalted here, which makes this its strongest sign. The mind is precise and comfortable with detail: these people catch errors, sort a mess into categories and ask the question nobody else thought to ask. Technical subjects, editing and diagnosis all suit them. The cost is proportion, since a small problem can absorb the attention a large one deserves, and the same scrutiny turned inward reads as steady self-doubt. They rarely say a thing before checking it.
