The Progressed Ascendant

The progressed Ascendant advances with the chart and depends entirely on an accurate birth time, since four minutes of error moves it by a degree. Its rate varies with the latitude of birth and the sign rising, so it is not a steady degree a year. A change of sign describes an adjustment in manner, appearance and the way a person meets a new situation, which observers often notice first. Aspects from it to natal planets are read as brief and specific. With a doubtful birth time it should not be used at all.
