The Progressed Sun

The progressed Sun advances about one degree a year, so it changes sign roughly every thirty years and makes no more than three sign changes in a long life. A change of sign is the single most commented-on progression, and it describes a shift in the quality of what a person is developing rather than a change in who they are. Aspects from the progressed Sun to natal planets unfold slowly, staying within orb for two or three years. Its progressed house, in a quadrant system, shows the area receiving that development.
