1. Counting Days: From Birth Date to Kin
The calculation anchors on a known reference point (January 1, 2000 is Kin 112 (Yellow Galactic Human)) and counts the whole days between that anchor and a birth date. February 29 is treated as "a day out of time" and does not advance the count, so any leap days crossed are subtracted before the total is reduced modulo 260 back into the 1–260 Kin range.
2. Solar Seal: The Kin Reduced Modulo 20
The Kin number, taken modulo 20, gives the Solar Seal, one of 20 archetypal glyphs running Red Dragon through Yellow Sun. This is the "what" of the signature: the core character the rest of the chart is built around.
3. Galactic Tone: The Kin Reduced Modulo 13
The same Kin number, taken modulo 13, gives the Galactic Tone, one of 13 numbered tones describing the "how": the rhythm and quality through which the Solar Seal's character expresses itself. Seal and Tone together are the full Galactic Signature.
4. Wavespell: The 13-Day Cycle a Kin Sits Inside
Every Kin belongs to a 13-day Wavespell, a single Solar Seal moving through all 13 tones in sequence. Subtracting the current Tone's position from the Kin number lands on Tone 1 of that cycle, whose Seal is the Wavespell Seal: the surrounding rhythm and environmental theme the individual Kin develops within.
5. Analog Seal: The Complementary Support
Each of the 20 seals pairs with exactly one other so the pair's indices sum to 19 (Red Dragon ↔ Yellow Sun, White Wind ↔ Blue Storm, and so on). The Analog Seal is this fixed complementary partner, the supportive energy that works alongside the main seal rather than opposing or hiding behind it.
6. Antipode Seal: The Challenging Opposite
The Antipode Seal sits exactly 10 seals away in the 20-seal cycle (index + 10, wrapping). It represents the growth-through-friction energy: the seal whose qualities challenge and stretch the main seal rather than reinforce it.
7. Occult Seal: The Hidden Power
The Occult Seal is found by reflecting the seal's index across the 20-seal cycle (19 minus the index). It names a hidden or compensatory power, a quality the main seal carries beneath the surface and can draw on when needed.
8. Guide Seal: The Directional Ally
Unlike the other three oracle seals, the Guide Seal depends on the Tone, not a fixed offset. Each of the 13 tones maps to a specific same-color-family offset (0, 4, 8, 12, or 16 seals ahead) applied to the main seal's index. The result stays within one of the four color families (Red, White, Blue, Yellow), representing the ally energy that actively guides the main seal toward its purpose.
