Mercury trine or sextile Venus

Only the sextile occurs here. Mercury and Venus never separate by more than about seventy six degrees, so a trine between them is astronomically impossible and any chart reporting one has a data problem. The sextile gives a light, sociable intelligence: pleasant conversation, a good eye, and an instinct for the phrasing that keeps a room comfortable. It asks nothing. Talent at this setting stays at the level of a pleasant manner unless something else in the chart insists on using it, and many people carrying it never find out it was a talent.
