Retrograde Emphasis

Retrograde emphasis describes a chart where an unusually large share of the planets were retrograde at the moment of birth: a chart weighted toward energy that turns inward before it turns outward. Rather than the more contained effect of one or two retrograde planets, an emphasis like this tends to run through several areas of life at once: a habit of processing, revisiting, and re-working things internally before anything becomes externally visible.
