Venus in the 9th house

The 9th house rules long travel, higher study, belief and foreign places. Venus here is drawn abroad. Partners are often met on a trip or come from another country or culture, and the tastes of a distant place work their way into daily life. Art, language and philosophy are enjoyed rather than studied dutifully. The weakness is the view that always looks better at a distance: an ordinary relationship at home compares badly with the idea of one somewhere else.
