North Node in Cancer

The north node marks a direction of growth rather than a planet or a fixed trait, and the south node opposite it marks what is already practiced. In Cancer, cardinal water ruled by the Moon, growth comes through attachment: admitting a need, belonging somewhere and letting other people matter. The pull back is toward Capricorn, where competence, control and a managed surface feel safer than dependence. The difficulty is that the familiar option here is the one everybody else praises.
