North Node

The North Node is not a physical celestial body but a mathematical point, the intersection of the Moon's orbital path and the ecliptic plane. It represents the soul's evolutionary direction, the qualities meant to be developed, and where growth lies. The North Node is often called the "destiny point". It shows the path of least resistance to personal evolution. It's opposite the South Node, which represents past-life gifts and the current comfort zone. The North Node asks for movement toward its sign and house, even though that ground is unfamiliar and challenging. When retrograde (North Node retrograde is technically rare and typically refers to the Node's secondary motion), it suggests a need to internalize the growth path: evolution happens through inner work and spiritual development rather than external achievement.
