North Node in Capricorn

The north node describes a direction of growth rather than a fixed part of a chart, and the south node opposite it describes the practiced alternative. In Capricorn, cardinal earth ruled by Saturn, growth comes through responsibility: a structure built, a role held in public, a promise kept when nobody is offering comfort. The pull back is toward Cancer, where family, the familiar and emotional retreat feel safer. Maturity here is deliberate rather than instinctive, and it arrives on purpose.
