North Node in Virgo
The north node in Virgo points growth toward practice, away from drift.
The north node is not a body: it is a calculated point taken to describe the direction of growth, while the south node opposite it describes what is already easy. In Virgo, mutable earth ruled by Mercury, growth comes through discipline and detail: a routine kept, a skill practiced, a job finished properly. The pull back is toward Pisces, where drifting, waiting for inspiration and absorbing everyone's feelings are the old habit. Small ordinary competence is the whole assignment.
