Definition
The zodiac sign the Moon occupied at the moment of birth. It describes emotional instincts and what makes a person feel safe, changing signs roughly every two and a half days as the Moon completes its monthly orbit.
What it means
Because the Moon moves so quickly through the zodiac, its sign is far more time-sensitive than the Sun's: two people born hours apart can have different Moon signs even on the same date.
