Carl Jung
Psychiatrist, founder of analytical psychology; archetypes, the collective unconscious
"A rigorous explorer of the unconscious balancing relational engagement with deep internal introspection."
The story so far
Carl Jung founded analytical psychology, introducing the collective unconscious, archetypes and psychological types to a field then dominated by Freud. He worked at the Burghölzli hospital in Zurich from 1900 and collaborated with Freud from 1907 until their break around 1913. The rupture sent him into years of self-experiment, recorded in The Red Book and published only in 2009. He died at his home in Küsnacht in June 1961.

1 placement that explains this chart
Anchored by a Leo Sun in the 7th House and a Sun square Neptune aspect, Carl Jung mapped the boundary between shared human relationships and universal archetypes. His chart reveals a drive to structure unseen psychological forces into accessible knowledge.
The core drive: warm, performative, and happiest when it has an audience worth the effort.
fixed-heavy by a slight margin, with no element standing out.

What makes this chart unique
Yod: Mars, Jupiter & Pluto, a pointed "finger of fate"
The "Finger of Fate": two planets funneling pressure toward a single point, often read as a life theme.
Frequencies are measured against the profile corpus, not asserted.
Personality
Driven by a Taurus Moon in the 3rd House squared by Uranus, his mental patterns paired practical stability with sudden, revolutionary insights. A Sun square Neptune aspect heightened his sensitivity to symbolic imagery and the unconscious mind, aligning with his Tarot Birth Card, The Hermit. His 2/4 Profile in Human Design balanced solitary study with a talent for professional networks. With a tight Saturn square Pluto and an Out-of-Bounds Mars, his chart displays an intense internal discipline aimed at investigating hidden human dynamics.
Love
With his Sun placed in Leo in the 7th House, primary relationships served as an essential mirror for self-realization and personal identity. A Yod configuration involving Mars, Jupiter, and Pluto added intense structural pressure and dramatic shifts within his close connections. Gene Key 27 in his Radiance emphasizes a personal evolution through altruism and emotional caretaking. Rather than seeking superficial peace, his relational dynamics functioned as a serious landscape for mutual growth and psychological confrontation.
Career
His Part of Fortune in Scorpio in the 9th House points to immense fulfillment derived from researching hidden truths, philosophy, and complex theoretical systems. A steady Jupiter trine Saturn enabled him to establish lasting frameworks around expansive ideas, while Gene Key 31 in his Life Work reflects a trajectory toward systemic intellectual leadership. Configured as a 2/4 Emotional Generator, his career built momentum by responding to significant professional catalysts before retreating into solitude to organize his analytical methods.
